Anna Neklesa is an Haute Couture alchemist who pushes the frontiers of the human–material relationship to the unseen level.
Her practice is based on examining and blurring the boundaries between the physical and the digital, by linking craftsmanship with technology. She created the new methodology of designing a material property by means of molecular tailoring. Her alternative approach to material industry is built on craft, physical science and computational design. As a creative director she merges professionals from many disciplines in order to create the material culture of the future.
Anna obtained her first degree in interior and product design at Novosibirsk State Academy of Architecture and Art in 2011, and for 4 years owned an interior design practice in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 2015 she enrolled to Textiles Program at the Royal College of Art, London, UK where she is currently pursuing MA in Textiles.
